Gina Glantz and Angie Martin founded Martin & Glantz in 1985, a time when the glass ceiling for women was much lower than it is today. Their steadfast commitment to progressive issues such as reproductive rights, environmental protection and handgun violence prevention guided the firm to national prominence.

Angie Martin passed away in 1997 after losing a courageous battle against breast cancer. Although she is gone, she is far from forgotten and her spirit continues to shine through the firm's ongoing work. A public interest fellowship in her name has been established at the Advocacy Institute. Click here for more information.

Gina Glantz took a leave of absence from the firm in 1999 to serve as National Campaign Manager for Bill Bradley For President, leaving Martin & Glantz in the hands of longtime senior staff members Steve Fowler and Mary Hoffman. In 2001, she sold the business to Steve and Mary, who are committed to carrying on the vision, commitment to quality and attention to client service of Martin & Glantz as the firm becomes FowlerHoffman LLC.

Gina continues her lifelong commitment to progressive issues as Assistant to the President for Strategic Issues and Political Action at Service Employees International Union (SEIU), the fastest growing union in the AFL-CIO. SEIU represents health care workers, public sector workers and building service and security workers. Gina's focus is on the issues of health care, immigration and workers' rights to organize.
