Mary C. Hoffman has more than 30 years of experience in strategic communications, nonprofit administration, evaluation research and community organizing. She has brought this experience to the design and implementation of projects such as strategic communications mapping for the Casey Family Program and The California Endowment, and systems design for Americans for a Fair Chance. Ms. Hoffman has led a public education campaign on minors’ access to confidential reproductive health services for the California Coalition for Reproductive Freedom, poverty alleviation audience research for the Northwest Area Foundation, and an eight-state feasibility study for The Pew Charitable Trusts Early Childhood Education Initiative.

Before founding FowlerHoffman in 2001, Ms. Hoffman was an integral part of the strategic team at Martin & Glantz for ten years. In the late 1980s, Ms. Hoffman was the Systems Coordinator at World College West, a liberal arts college specializing in international development and environmental studies, and an associate with Hughes Associates Consulting, responsible for reporting and design of studies for the State of California Department of Education and youth-at-risk program evaluations. Her experience also includes seven years of refugee resettlement administration and advocacy in Sonoma County, California, with the Intercultural Action Center.

Ms. Hoffman’s volunteer community organizing experience has ranged from chairing Bay Area fund raising events, being a founding steering committee member of the Sonoma County Rainbow Coalition to establishing a bilingual cooperative preschool center in Geyserville, California.
