Janice Shiffler

Janice Shiffler joined FowlerHoffman in 2002 as a project
assistant for the Afterschool Alliance, a broad coalition
of public, private and nonprofit organizations dedicated to
ensuring that all children have access to quality, affordable
afterschool programs by 2010.
As a researcher, writer and editor, Ms. Shiffler plays a
key role in materials development for many of the firm's clients,
including the Afterschool Alliance and Preschool California,
an advocacy organization working to achieve publicly funded,
effective pre-kindergarten programs targeted to the children
who need them most.
Previously, Ms. Shiffler provided publicity assistance for
the Institute of Reading Development, a nonprofit organization
that offers reading programs to children and adults around
the nation. She also has worked as an editor and proofreader
for numerous newspapers and magazines.
Ms. Shiffler received a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from
the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism.
